| At U.S. Bank, a sponsorship is defined as a one time or ongoing contractual agreement for which a company pays a fee to an outside organization in order to receive defined, contractual benefits that further the company's sponsorship and/or marketing goals. |
|
The ideal sponsorship is one which has a long duration (preferably months or weeks, not days) and offers a diverse menu of benefits including signage, media (radio, television, print and Web), promotions, product sales opportunities and hospitality.
The Corporate Sponsorship budget does not fund the following activities:
- Individual grants or donations
- Purchase of event tickets
- Purchase of a program ad
- Tables at events or golf-hole purchases
- Civic or other memberships
- Seminars and trade shows
