When you apply for a Silver Checking account, you’ll be asked to open a Package Money Market Savings account or U.S. Bank Credit Card account at the same time.2

To open a Silver Checking account online, you need:
• a minimum opening deposit of $25
• to be at least 18 years old and a legal U.S. resident
• a Social Security Number
• a driver’s license or state/military ID
If you’re missing any of these items, please apply in person at a branch location.
You have the option of opening a new Package Money Market Savings account or U.S. Bank Credit Card, or converting an existing U.S. Bank Savings account to meet Silver Package requirements. Once approved, you’ll be asked to submit your opening deposit(s) to activate your account(s).
